Bryan In New York City For Meetings, Government House Says

Virgin Islands / August 1, 2019

Governor Albert Bryan has traveled to New York City for meetings, Government House made known via release today. Again, the release did not say when Mr. Bryan left, but at least one person with knowledge of travel said the governor left the territory Wednesday.

The release did not say what type of meetings Mr. Bryan would be attending, either, or whether those meetings were of a sensitive nature where making available details would hurt Mr. Bryan’s mission.

While campaigning, then-candidate Bryan said his administration would be so transparent that Virgin Islanders would get “sick of it.”

Lieutenant Governor Tregenza Roach, who returned to the USVI on Wednesday, will serve as acting governor until Mr. Bryan’s return to the USVI Friday.
