Open Enrollment for participants in the Virgin Islands Government Employees Group Insurance Program begins on Monday, August 12, and concludes on Friday, September 13, the Division of Personnel has announced.
The Open Enrollment period provides covered employees and retirees the opportunity to make benefit changes, add or remove dependents, or increase their supplemental life insurance coverage. Covered employees and retirees will only be able to make changes after Open Enrollment if there is a qualifying life event, such as marriage, divorce, birth of a child or change in employment status.
According to D.O.P., active employees who want to make changes can do so by accessing the new online enrollment system Bentek, at http://www.mybentek.com/gvi. Bentek is 100% mobile ready and can be accessed by using any device, such as a smartphone, tablet or computer.
