The USVI Dept. of Tourism’s participation at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Convention in Miami, Florida is one the department’s most important events in its U.S. marketing efforts. In its ninth year of participation, the USVI presence was everywhere — from Spectrum Band being the official house band, to Peter Bailey’s The Unbreakable Virgin Islanders film being shown at the convention. D.O.T. Commissioner Joseph Boschulte, in a room with over 3,000 journalists, seized the moment to highlight the USVI as territory rebounding from the 2017 storms and open for business. Watch some scenes of D.O.T.’s participation.
