Senator Frett-Gregory, chair of the Senate Committee on Education and Workforce Development, led a tour of the territory’s schools Thursday and Friday in the St. Thomas-St. John and St. Croix Districts respectively. Senator Kurt Vialet joined Mrs. Frett-Gregory on St. Croix for part of the tour, and the senators were not shy about sharing their displeasure with the current state of school facilities mere weeks before the 2019-2020 school year starts.

“The schools look like they’re abandoned,” Mr. Vialet said.
