A St. Thomas man was found dead on Fri., Sept. 12 at around 3 p.m. at the Saga Haven Marina, the V.I.P.D. has announced.
The body of the man has not been identified, but according to police, the body was found by a concerned citizen who happened to be scuba diving in the area. The citizen immediately called 911 and upon arriving on the scene, the body was taken away by medical personnel. There were no signs of injury to the body, police officers confirmed.
As is custom, the police is working with the Department of Planning and Natural Resources to identify the victim, and has chosen not to release the victim’s name until family members have been notified of the incident.
The victim’s body has been turned over to the medical examiner for an autopsy.
