A man wanted in connection with the shooting death of 19-year-old Malik Davis turned himself in to St. Croix police on Friday morning and has been given $1 million bail.

Stedroy “Roy” Hurst, 27, came out of hiding when, on Thursday, a Wanted Poster was issued for him and circulated through local media. He had been on the run since after the deadly shooting on Wednesday morning.

Hurst was charged with First Degree Murder for gunning down Davis in the front yard of a Work & Rest residence reportedly in an argument over a horse.
