Man Found Dead In Sapphire Village Apartment

A 60-year-old St. Thomas man was found dead in his Sapphire Village apartment on Dec. 2, police spokesperson Melody Rames revealed Wednesday.

According to police, acquaintances of the man say they had not seen him for several days and ventured to his apartment to check on him. The discovery of his body was made just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

An autopsy has been scheduled, which detectives hope will reveal the cause of death. The name of the deceased man has not been revealed pending notification of next of kin.
