VIC To Host “Ask Me Anything” Facebook Forum On Friday

Featured / News / Virgin Islands / December 4, 2014

In an effort to bring readers into direct contact with newsmakers, the VI Consortium will host its first “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) Facebook forum on Friday, Dec. 5 to discuss the sale of the HOVENSA refinery.

Invited guests include representatives of HOVENSA, Atlantic Basin Refining and Monarch Energy Partners.

How does it work?

The casual online Q&A format was made popular on the Reddit website, where readers could ask guests any number of questions in real time and have their questions answered in real time.

So, this is how it works…

VI Consortium will introduce the invited guest and topic with a status update on the VIC Facebook page. Information will also be provided on how attendees could verify the guest’s attendance.

-The invited guest, as part of the VI Consortium status update, will introduce him or herself to the online audience

-Readers post comments and questions in the comments section and the invited guest will respond to as many as he or she can in the allotted time

How long will it last?

The AMA session will last for one hour. Representatives from Monarch Energy Partners will be our guests at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5.

The VI Consortium is awaiting confirmation from the other invited guests.

We hope you can join us!
