Ask Me Anything: Mapp Taking Community’s Questions Live On Radio On Tuesday

Breaking News / Featured / Government / News / Politics / Virgin Islands / April 21, 2015

ST. CROIX — Governor Kenneth Mapp will host an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session live on WDHP, 1620 A.M. radio on Tuesday, for 90 minutes starting at 2:00 p.m.

The session takes place on popular radio personality Mario Moorehead’s talk show, and is expected to be informative as members of the community take turns to relay their concerns about the territory to the governor.

The AMA follows a meeting between the governor, his executive branch and senators of the 31st Legislature, along with Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett, held at Government House in Christiansted on Monday. There, according to Senator Kurt Vialet, a myriad of issues were discussed — from the budget deficit, HOVENSA, the need to restructure certain government agencies and other pertinent issues.

According to Government House Communications Director Kimberly Jones, the AMA is one of many to be held where the community gets to interact with its leader directly.

To listen online, go here. The call-in number is  340-719-7435.

I wear many hats, I suppose, but the one which fits me best would be journalism, second to that would be radio personality, thirdly singer/songwriter and down the line. I've been the Editor-In-Chief at my videogames website, Gamesthirst, for over 5 years, writing over 7,000 articles and more than 2 million words. I'm also very passionate about where I live, the United States Virgin Islands, and I'm intent on making it a better place by being resourceful and keeping our leaders honest. VI Consortium was birthed out of said desire, hopefully my efforts bear fruit. Reach me at [email protected].
