ST. THOMAS — An Estate Thomas man said that a masked man approached him when he was sitting on his porch at home and pointed a gun at him demanding all the jewelry he was wearing at the time, according to VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson.
The man told police that he could not recognize the robber who snatched a gold chain from around his neck and a gold watch from his hand about 11:45 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas because the robber wore a red cloth covering his face.
When the robber then left the porch he started walking down the road in a southerly direction, the victim told police.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to 911 or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
