Department of Education Announces Early And Standard Public School Registration Dates

ST. CROIX — The Department of Education has announced early and standard registration dates for the St. Croix and St. Thomas-St. John school districts for students entering grades 1st-12th during the 2015-2016 school year.

St. Thomas-St. John district parents are reminded to submit students’ last report card in order to pick up admission slips for early registration.

Furthermore, all children entering Kindergarten must be age 5 on or before December 31, 2015 to register. Children must be present during registration and accompanied by a biological parent or legal guardian.

ST. CROIX – STANDARD REGISTRATION
Date: May 27, 2015 through an unspecified deadline. Kindergarten registration, which began on March 11, will continue during this period.
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Location: La Grande Princesse opposite the Honda Dealership, on the Alternative Education Campus (old Daunbavin School). The building on the hill.

⇒Passport, Resident Card or Naturalization Certificate

⇒Virgin Islands Immunization Record and clearance form from the Immunization Clinic located at the Roy L. Schneider Regional Medical Center or East End Clinic in the mall (Blue or Green Slip);

School Records

  • Report card for students entering 1st-9th grades
  • Transcript for students entering grades 10th-12th

⇒Proof of physical address (official document such as a WAPA bill, driver’s license, lease or receipt showing name and street address of parent/guardian);

⇒Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan and evaluation data, if applicable

⇒Photo ID (government-issued) of parent/guardian registering student

⇒Proof of Court Appointed Guardianship-Required-If the child is not living with one or both natural parents
