Gang Of Five Rob Man At Gunpoint In William’s Delight

Breaking News / News / Virgin Islands / May 3, 2015

ST. CROIX – A gold vehicle drove up to a man walking in Estate William’s Delight Saturday morning and five men got out of the car – one of them brandishing a weapon, according to police.

The victim said the man with the gun demanded money, but when he told them he had none, they tried to force him into the vehicle, police said. The man was able to escape, but not before one of the five men took a bag the man was carrying that contained personal items.

The five men fled the scene in the vehicle, police said. The notification of a robbery was received by the 911 Emergency Call Center at 11:40 a.m. Saturday.

Detectives continue to investigate the matter.
