ST. JOHN — The Virgin Islands Department of Labor (VIDOL) on Monday announced the resumption of unemployment benefits (UI) to residents of the smallest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands.
According to the press release, UI representatives will be on St. John on May 21, from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. at the Cruz Bay Battery, and will be there from the aforementioned date and every other Thursday thereafter.
Residents will be able to apply for unemployment insurance benefits, re-certify for benefit payments and receive access to other workforce development services and program information.
VIDOL said it’s “pleased to offer these administrative services to the entire territory and encourages applicable St. John residents to fully utilize these services” through the newly-announced medium.
