VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced the following arrests on St. Thomas from May 24-27.

Sunday, May 24, 2015 – Corry Lee Christensen, 29 was arrested and charged with destruction of property in connection with an incident where he admitted to breaking the front-door of the UVI Cafeteria. Unable to post bail of $500, Christensen was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.

Monday, May 25, 2015 – Euphene Hyacinth, 35 of Anna’s Retreat was arrested and charged with assault in relation to an incident where he struck a woman with a rock, causing visible injuries in addition to destruction of property for breaking the windshield of the victim’s vehicle. No bail was set for Hyacinth, and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.


Monday, May 25, 2015 – Nora C. Smith, 30 of Smith Bay was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) after she was involved in an auto collision and failed a field sobriety test. Bail for Nora C. Smith was set at $500 by Court order.

Monday, May 25, 2015 –Elvin Jacobs, 49 of Tutu High-rise was arrested and charged with grand larceny after he was positively identified via video surveillance cameras as the person who removed several mobile phones from the Choice store without paying for them on the date of April 6, 2015. Bail for Elvin Jacobs was set at $3,500 by Court order.

Tuesday, May 26, 2015 – Joseph Mack, 25 of Estate Fredendal was arrested and charged with destruction of property after destroying government property. Mark was also charged with delaying and obstruction. Unable to post bail of $1,500, Mack was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.

Tuesday, May 26, 2015 – Bernard Blasingame Jr., 33 of St. John was arrested and charged with destruction of property after destroying government property and property belonging to the Slim Man Parking Lot. Bail for Bernard Blasingame Jr. was set at $505.00

Tuesday, May 26, 2015 – Karim S. Salem, 24 of Sugar Estate was arrested and charged with stalking (DV) after being observed driving around the home of a couple repeatedly, causing them to fear for their lives. No bail was set for Salem and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.

Wednesday, May 27, 2015 – Adrian Aquino Sanchez, 25 of Hospital Ground was arrested and charged with first degree robbery, first degree assault and grand larceny after being positively identified by the victim as the individual who’d robbed him at gunpoint and was also in possession of the victim’s belongings. Unable to post bail of $200,000, Sanchez was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
