St. Thomas Arrests: June 8-12

VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced the following arrests on St. Thomas from June 8-12.

Monday, June 8, 2015 – Teshawn Turnbull, 21 of Bergs Home, was placed under citizen’s arrest after he was identified as the male who came to a complainant’s place of work and created a disturbance. Bail for Turnbull was set at $500 by court order.

Monday, June 8, 2015– Cecil Jay Rushing, 55 of the sailing vessel “Happy Hours” Cruz Bay, was arrested and charged with simple assault after being positively identified as the individual that strangled a woman. Bail for Rushing was set for at $500 by court order.

Wednesday, June 10, 2015 – Ralph Filandro Every, 37 of sailing vessel “Windstar 357” John Brewer’s Beach was arrested and charged with third degree assault after he was positively identified as the person who held a knife to a male’s throat and threatened to kill him. Bail for Every was set at $25,000 by court order.

Thursday, June 11, 2015 – Justin Rivera of Greenwood Drive, Warwick RI was arrested at the Cyril E. King Airport as he was trying to leave the territory. Rivera was charged and arrested with third degree burglary and grand larceny after being positively identified on video surveillance footage as the individual who burglarized Eco Tours on St. John. Unable to post bail of $60,000, Rivera was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.

Thursday, June 11, 2015 – Burton Fahie, 44 of Bordeaux was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle after he was positively identified on surveillance video as the individual who removed a vehicle without the permission of the owner. Fahie was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing after fail to make bail of $25,000.
