ST. CROIX — The Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) announced via press release on Friday that all the territory’s beaches are safe for swimming and fishing this weekend.
DPNR said it performed water quality analysis at the 35 designated beaches throughout the territory during the week of June 15-19.
The St. Croix beaches are: Stoney Ground, Protestant Cay, Chenay Bay, Buccaneer, Cane Bay, Cramer Park, Rainbow, Shoy’s, New Fort (Ft. Louise Augusta), Pelican Cove (Comorant), Halfpenny, Grapetree Bay, Princess (Condo Row), Dorsch, Frederiksted Public Beach, Columbus Landing and Sprat Hall.
On St. Thomas, the beaches include: Secret Harbor, Hull Bay,Brewer’s Bay, Lindquist Bay, Sapphire, Bluebeard,Frenchman’s Bay, Vessup Bay, Magen’s Bay, Coki Point, Lindbergh Bay and Water Bay.
The St. John beaches safe for swimming and fishing are: Cruz Bay, Oppenhiemer, Johnson’s Bay, Great Cruz Bay and Frank Bay.
