Every week, Crime Stoppers USVI selects three crimes that have yet to be solved in the Virgin Islands, and asks the community to help with any information that could possibly lead to justice. Below are the three incidents selected by Crime Stoppers for the week of June 24.

St. Thomas: On Friday at approximately 6:00 a.m., patrol units were called to Savan Grocery because of an attempted robbery and shooting. The victim stated that two black males wearing masks entered the store and demanded money. He refused to give them money, so one of the males shot him two times. The victim was transported to RLSH where he was rushed into surgery.

St. Croix: On Friday, April 9, 1999, 24-year-old Juan “Juanito” Cruz was playing pool at the Milagrosa Bar in downtown Christiansted around 11:00 p.m. and was struck in the face by a pool cue. Cruz went into a coma and died the next afternoon. 

St. John: On Monday, January 5, 2009 Juan Ayala, owner of Cap’s Place in Cruz Bay, was found dead at his home in Estate Pastory. He had been shot multiple times.
