The Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) has announced that a tropical wave will approach the territory this afternoon.
According to VITEMA, wave is expected to interact with an upper level trough that is expected to enhance the shower and thunderstorm activity associated with the wave. This combination should cause an increase of shower and thunderstorm activity this afternoon and overnight into Tuesday morning.
VITEMA is advising the public to monitor all incoming weather reports.
VI Consortium will be following the developments.
