St. Thomas Arrests: June 26-28

VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced the following arrests on St. Thomas from June 26-28.

Friday, June 26, 2105 – Ken Berry, 36 of West Carat Bay was arrested and charged with third degree assault for disobeying a lawful order and assaulting a police officer. Unable to make bail of $26,000, Berry was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.

Saturday, June 27, 2015 – Ralph Albion Gumbs Jr., 58 of Estate Nadir was arrested and charged with disturbance of the peace in connection with an incident where he was positively identified as the man who ransacked his Mother’s residence. The suspect also assaulted several officers and was charged with aggravated assault and battery. Gumbs Jr. was offered no bail opportunity and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.

Sunday, June 28, 2015 – Phillip K. Bernier, 34 of Spring Hill Condos was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery in connection with an incident that occurred at the Cruz Bay Ferry Dock where he assaulted an officer attempting to defuse a physical altercation. Unable to make bail of $26,000, Bernier was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
