Parking Restrictions Announced For Friday Jump Up And Saturday C’sted Shutdown

ST. CROIX — The VIPD announced on Wednesday via press release parking restrictions for Jump Up celebrations happening in downtown Christiansted on Friday.

According to the release, at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and until the completion of the event, the following parking restrictions will be in effect:

  • Parking is prohibited on King Street beginning at the intersection of King and King Cross Street.
  • Parking is prohibited on Church Street, between King and Company Streets.
  • Parking is prohibited on Queen Cross Street, between King and Company Streets.
  • Parking is prohibited on Queen Cross Street, from the intersection of King and Queen Cross Street to the parking area adjacent to the Boardwalk.

Vehicles found parked in the restricted areas will be cited and towed at the owner’s expense, the release stated.

On Saturday, beginning at 8:00 p.m. until the close of the event, the following parking restrictions will be enforced:

  • Parking is prohibited on Church Street, between King and Company Streets.
  • Parking is prohibited on Queen Cross Street, between King and Company Streets.

Vehicles found parked in the restricted areas will be cited and towed at the owner’s expense, VIPD again warned.

The force also apologized for any inconvenience the parking restrictions may cause and wishes the community and visitors a safe and enjoyable weekend.
