ST. THOMAS — 41-year-old Tasha Forbes of Anna’s Retreat was arrested on Friday and charged with multiple criminal counts after police officers with the Economic Crime Unit executed an arrest warrant issued by the territory’s Magistrate Court, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced this afternoon.
According to the arrest warrant, Forbes was charged with forgery, grand larceny and obtaining money under false pretense. The charges stem from an incident that occurred in March after Forbes forged the signatures of her victims on several checks and cashed them.
Unable to post bail of $10,000 Forbes was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending her advise-of-rights hearing.
