St. Croix Man Robbed And Shot

ST. CROIX — A 25-year-old man was robbed on shot while walking his dog in the Fleming Circle area, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced on Saturday.

According to the report, on Friday, August 14, at 7:56 pm, the 911 emergency call center received a report via radio from an off-duty police officer working at the Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center’s emergency room that a male individual had arrived at the hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound.

Officers and Detectives responded to the hospital and met with the victim, who stated that he was walking his dog in the Fleming Circle area when he was approached by two black males with guns in a blue colored vehicle. The individuals then took his mobile phone, $30.00, shot the victim in his foot and left the area.

The victim, who resides in the Harrigan Court Housing Community, sustained a gunshot wound to the instep of his right foot. He was also unable to give any further description of the suspects.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into the matter.
