Man Shot At Ballpark In St. Thomas

ST.  THOMAS — A man was shot in the vicinity of the Frydenhoj ballpark last night at about 6:13 p.m., VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced via press release on Tuesday morning.

According to Jackson, the male victim was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital’s emergency room by a private vehicle, which was escorted by police units.

Officers and detectives with the Major Crimes Unit and Criminal Investigation Bureau met with the victim, who stated that he had been shot while in the area of the ball park. The victim also stated that he was unable to see the individual or individuals involved in the incident. He was treated for the wound he sustained and released.
