The Virgin Islands Department of Education, in conjunction with the Office of the Governor, is reminding parents of students who participated in the 7th Annual Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge that ended on September 11 that book tracking sheets are now due.
Students attending public, private and parochial schools in the St. Croix and St. Thomas-St. John school districts are asked to turn in tracking sheets to their classroom teachers or at the schools’ main office.
The 7th Annual Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge encouraged students in grades K-6 to read five or more books from June 6 to September 11.
Celebrations for all Reading Challenge participants will take place during the month of November. Event details will be released at a later date.
