ST. THOMAS — The woman who died after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds outside a nightclub here been identified, VIPD Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced today.
According to Ms. Freeman, the victim was Rajkumarie Hendrickson, a 42-year-old who resided in the state of Texas.
At roughly 4:15 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, October 24, the 911 emergency call center notified officers that shots had been fired in the area of the Jala Jala Nightclub located on Kronprindsens Gade.
Upon arrival on the scene, officers discovered Ms. Hendrickson, a Hispanic woman, who received numerous gunshot injuries about her body. According to the preliminary investigation, Ms. Hendrickson was speaking with two male individuals when an unknown grey Jeep drove up to them and began firing shots in their direction, according.
The two male individuals ran and Ms. Hendrickson was shot where she stood. One of the male individuals sustained injuries from the gunfire and was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital by ambulance where he was treated for his injuries.
The VIPD did not give a status update on the condition of the injured man.
