ST. CROIX — Department of Public Works Commissioner Gustav James, in conjunction with Stanley Consultants Inc., is seeking public comment on impending improvements to the Clifton Hill Connector Road Project on this island, a press release Government House issued on Monday revealed.
The proposed project will improve the conditions of existing Route 75, Clifton Hill Road, which will include improvement of the vertical alignment, installation of sidewalks, drainage control improvements, and the reconfiguration of the Clifton Hill intersection with Route 66, Melvin Evans Highway and LaReine intersection at Queen Mary Highway located at the south and north points of the project, according to the release.
A public information meeting has been scheduled for Friday, December 11, 2015 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the St. Croix Department of Education Curriculum Center. The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public with information regarding the project’s schedule, scope of work, project limits and anticipated impacts.
The meeting will begin with a presentation followed by an open forum to discuss specific issues and answer questions. All interested citizens, interest groups and businesses are invited to attend the public information meeting.
