ST. CROIX — Two men were shot in Estate Glynn in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has confirmed to The Consortium. The incident, which took place at about 1:46 a.m., was first reported as a discharging of shots without victims. However, shortly after the 911 emergency call center dispatched officers to the Juan F. Luis Hospital, where they found two individuals being treated for gunshot wounds, Mr. Dratte said.

One of the two victims was airlifted out of the territory for further care, as he was shot multiple times, according to Mr. Dratte. He was said to be in stable but critical condition.  The other victim was said to be in stable condition.

Mr. Dratte was not able to provide a motive for the shooting incident, nor was he able to say whether the suspects were on foot or in a vehicle while committing the crime. The incident is under investigation by the V.I.P.D., and the force is asking anyone with information to call 340-778-2211, or send an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers USVI here.
