Christiansted Thanksgiving Jump Up Happens Tonight, Parking Restrictions Announced

The Christiansted Thanksgiving Jump Up happens tonight, and the Virgin Islands Police Department on Wednesday announced parking restrictions for the event.

According to the VIPD, effective Friday, November 27, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until the completion of the event, the following parking restrictions will be in effect:

  • Parking is prohibited on King Street beginning at the intersection of King and King Cross Street.
  • Parking is prohibited on Church Street, between King and Company Streets.
  • Parking is prohibited on Queen Cross Street, between King and Company Streets.
  • Parking is prohibited on Queen Cross Street, from the intersection of King and Queen Cross Street to the parking area adjacent to the Boardwalk.

Vehicles found parked in the restricted areas will be cited and towed at the owner’s expense, according to the release.
