ST. CROIX — Along with the Christmas season here, Crucian Christmas Carnival festivities heat up, and the Virgin Islands Police Department, through a press release issued on Wednesday, has announced that vendors wishing to sell during the Children’s and Adults parades of this year’s carnival can collect applications at the Cuthbert Chapman Police Substation, located at Customs House Street in Frederiksted.

Pickup will be from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The cost of a permit for those serving food items (including water, juice, soda) is $75.00 per day, while the cost for those serving any type of alcoholic beverage (beer, wine, spirits) or non-food items is $150.00 per day, according to the release.

The release further stated that anyone providing consumables must have a valid Virgin Islands health card issued by the Virgin Islands Department of Health, and those operating any mobile service must possess a certified mobile vendor license, issued by the Virgin Islands Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs.

This season’s Children’s Parade takes place on Jan. 1, 2016, while the adult activities happen on Jan. 2, 2016.
