ST. THOMAS — The Public Services Commission (P.S.C.) was burglarized on Tuesday at about 1:20 a.m., Lorna Nichols, the commission’s public relations chief told The Consortium Wednesday afternoon.
According to Ms. Nichols, the burglary occurred at the commission’s Barbel Plaza location here. She said the person or persons broke the P.S.C.’s front glass, entered the office and stole several computers and other items.
But while the commission hadn’t fully recovered from the ordeal — with Ms. Nichols noting that employees were still somewhat “frightened” by the incident — she said the P.S.C. was back in business, as the glass had been repaired and police had already completed their investigation at the P.S.C.’s Barbel Plaza office.
In fact, during the brief phone interview with The Consortium, Ms. Nichols said that a public hearing was ongoing at the same location.
