ST. CROIX — Thursday marked the 6th Annual Man Up event on St. Croix, sponsored by the University of the Virgin Islands and the Department of Education. Dueling events were held in St. Thomas Tuesday and Wednesday.
This year’s theme, “All In — Included, Involved, Inspired”, took a different route as local, successful men keynoted the events on both Islands. Note: they did not disappoint.
As is custom, schools from around St. Croix — public and private — amassed underneath a massive tent on the U.V.I. grounds here, as students listened to remarks from Dept. of Education officials, U.V.I. President Dr. David Hall, and the man of the hour, former Dept. of Labor commissioner and local entrepreneur, Albert Bryan, Jr., (above left), this year’s keynote speaker. It was MC’d by local radio personality and entrepreneur Rashidi Clenance.
Below are some video highlights of the momentous occasion.
