ST. CROIX — The Department of Education on Tuesday made known that that school bus service for Estate Richmond and the John F. Kennedy Terrace Housing Community to and from St. Croix Central High School will be suspended from Wednesday, May 11 to Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Bus service will resume on June 1, 2016.
According to the release, the decision to suspend bus service on the routes came as the result of multiple complaints by the school bus company of ongoing student misconduct and non-compliance with School Bus Safety rules while the buses are in operation.
A parent meeting was held at Central High School on Monday, May 9, 2016 to discuss the matter.
Parents are asked to make alternate arrangements for students to be transported to and from school during the bus suspension.
