Virgin Islands athletes are in Rio, Brazil for the 2016 Summer Olympics, proudly representing the territory as they walked in the event’s opening parade Friday night. See pictures by clicking feature image (courtesy V.I. Olympic Committee).
According to the Virgin Islands Olympic Committee, athletes representing the territory at the Summer Games include the following:
Laverne Jones (200m race), Caylee Watson (swimming), Rex Tullius (swimming), Muhammad Halim, (triple jump) Eddie Lovett, (110m hurdle) Clayton Laurent Jr., (boxing 91+ kg) and Cy Thompson, (sailing).
