ST. CROIX — On Friday at about 7:30 p.m., police executed an arrest warrant — issued by a Superior Court judge — for 25-year-old Ephraim Rivera, above, who has been charged with rape in the first degree, assault in the first degree, false imprisonment and unlawful sexual contact in the first degree, according to Glen Dratte, the Virgin Islands Police Department’s public information officer.
No further information was provided, and when pressed for more, Mr. Dratte said what was made available to media was all he had.
An advise-of-rights hearing for Mr. Rivera occurred this morning, and he was placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring, according to Mr. Dratte.
