The Virgin Islands Police Academy graduated 20 new officers for the island of St. Croix on Monday, but not all will join the police force; only 11 of the total will serve at the V.I.P.D. The others will join various branches of government, including the V.I. Port Authority, the Superior Court, Department of Planning and Natural Resources, the Virgin Islands Legislature, the Office of the Governor, the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs, and the University of the Virgin Islands.
This is the fourth graduating class during the tenure of Governor Kenneth Mapp.
Below, a condensed version of the ceremony, which was held at Government House on  Monday.
