The Virgin Islands Department of Education announced today that all public schools will be dismissed at 12 p.m. on Friday for the holiday break. School will resume on Monday, January 9, 2017.
D.O.E. Commissioner Sharon McCollum, encouraged the community to strongly support and attend the annual Children’s Parade on St. Croix on Friday, January 6. This year, the Department of Education will debut a new troupe featuring large-scale book characters handcrafted by students under the direction of a world-renowned artist to promote a litter-free Virgin Islands, according to D.O.E.
Ms. McCollum and the entire staff and management at D.O.E. extended best wishes for a safe and joyous holiday season.
