ST. CROIX — A man who police say assaulted his lover with a crowbar, breaking her arm, is still on the loose, and the V.I.P.D. is seeking the community’s assistance in locating him so he could be brought to justice, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced Tuesday.

The suspect, named Cuthbert DeSouza, has been evading police since the incident. He is a black 48-years-old male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 158 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. He is also left-handed, and is known to frequent the Williams Delight and Barren Spot communities, according to police.

If located, V.I.P.D. is asking that you call 911 or 340-778-2211 (V.I.PD.’s main office on St. Croix). You may also get in touch with Crime Stoppers USVI, where your tip may lead to a sizable payday.
