ST. CROIX — A woman on Monday walked into a St. Croix police station to report that she’d been assaulted by her boyfriend, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced Tuesday.
According to Mr. Dratte, the victim entered the Wilbur Francis Command on Monday and stated that on the same day, at roughly 12 noon in Estate Grove Place, her boyfriend chocked her, brandished a pistol at her and proceeded to stab her with a broken bottle.
After getting a description of the suspect, patrol units were able to apprehend Joseph Brow, 31, of Estate Grove Place, charging him with second-degree assault.
Unable to make bail of $50,000, Mr. Brow was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
