ST. CROIX — The St. Croix Chamber of Commerce will honor top business and community leaders on Saturday at its annual Business and Professional Excellence Awards Gala, announced the organization on Wednesday. The event kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails in the great hall at St. George Botanical Garden.

According to Chamber Chairperson Kimberly McCollum, the gala’s theme, “Over 90 Years……Looking Back and Moving Forward!” speaks directly to the chamber’s decades of work in helping the St. Croix community grow, prosper, and move forward.

“The business awards are a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of the great things that are happening within our business community and to honor those who made them happen in 2016,” said McCollum. “It will be a great evening of celebration and recognition of the entrepreneurial visions of our members who help our St. Croix community thrive despite our challenges.”

The chamber will host Internal Revenue Director Marvin L. Pickering as the keynote speaker for the evening, followed by the awards presentations, said Debbie Henry, gala chairperson. “This year’s nominees are a group of leaders who have excelled in the areas of involvement, leadership and growth and were nominated by our chamber members based on criteria that included the nominees’ dedication to their companies and the impact they have made on the prosperity of our community. We invite all chamber members and the general public to attend and honor them.”
