Belle Of Ball Prom Experience Now Open To Graduating Female Seniors Territory-Wide

Education / Lifestyle / Virgin Islands / March 14, 2017

Aniska Tonge of 4HER Foundation and Taiesa Lashley of VI Pageantry and C.H.I.C Lifestyle Collection, LLC recently announced that applications from graduating female students to win the ultimate prom experience and be the Belle of the Ball, are now being accepted.

And in an expansion to the event, the organizations also announced that applications are now being accepted from potential winners hailing from the island of St. Croix; for the past two years, five intelligent and beautiful seniors — all from St. Thomas — have been pampered on their prom night with an all-expense paid magical experience, according to the release.

The prize package includes: complimentary prom dress and accessories, manicure, hair professionally styled, personal photographer and a limousine ride to the prom.

Former Belles of the Ball are: Nykesha Culpepper and Chanester Crawford in 2015, and Raven Phillips, Graciela Samuel and Hassanah Graham in 2016. This year two Belles — one from the St.Thomas- St. John district and one from St. Croix — will be selected.

Applicants are required to have a minimum 3.0 GPA and will also be required to list volunteer/community organizations that they are active members of, according to the release. Applicants will also need to submit two letters of recommendations: one letter from a staff member of their school and one letter from a community organization that they volunteer with. The deadline for applications for Belle of the Ball is April 9, 2017.

Students are encouraged to email [email protected] to receive an application for the 2017 Belle of the Ball Prom Experience.
