Enraged Woman Knifes Man And Her Own Child In Parking Lot Of Next Woman’s Home

News / Virgin Islands / March 14, 2017

ST. THOMAS — In what appears to be a crime motivated by relationship-gone-bad matters, a woman knifed a man and their own child in the wee hours of Monday morning, V.I.P.D. Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced this afternoon.

According to Ms. Freeman, on Monday at approximately 1:19 a.m., the male victim reported that he was visiting the mother of one of his sons in Palms Garden, when the suspect, Radiant Daly, above — who also has a young son for the victim — arrived. The victim said he went downstairs after he heard loud, banging noises and observed Ms. Daly next to his vehicle.

The victim added that Ms. Daly proceeded to place their young son in the parking lot of the complex, and when he attempted to retrieve the boy, Ms. Daly began wildly swinging a knife in his direction — which wound up slashing the victim as well as their young son, according to Ms. Freeman.

The victim sustained a laceration to his left eyebrow and jaw, while the child sustained a laceration to his left arm, according to police

Ms. Daly was charged with third-degree assault, and was given no bail in accordance with the territory’s domestic violence laws. She was then remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending her advise-of-rights hearing.
