ST. THOMAS — Police on Monday arrested a 54-year-old woman after she chased her male lover into a police station while wielding a knife, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced Tuesday.

The incident occurred at about 12:05 p.m. Monday, when an officer on desk duty observed a male individual running into the Jürgen Command Police Station, being chased by his girlfriend, Sally Ann-Medina, above, according to police.

The release says both parties were yelling at each other, with Ms. Medina holding a knife over the head of her boyfriend, as if ready to stab him, according to Mr. Dratte.

Ms. Medina was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, and was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending her advisement hearing.
