Search Continues For Lyana Serieux

News / Virgin Islands / August 3, 2017

ST. CROIX — The V.I.P.D. and search parties as of Thursday morning were still looking for Lyana Serieux. Ms. Serieux’s two minor sons, 10-year-old Jordan Serieux and 5-year-old Jeremiah Serieux, last seen with their mother, were found dead near the Ha’Penny Beach on the south shore on Tuesday morning at about 11:35 p.m.

Ms. Serieux weighs between 140-160 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes and a brown complexion. She was last seen on Friday, July 28 driving a 2011 Silver Toyota Yaris with license plate number is CFR 304. Her vehicle has since been discovered burned.

Along with police search efforts, civilians have also banded together to form their own search attempts. One of the most formidable groups currently is Malik Stridiron’s team. Mr. Stridiron, an outspoken Virgin Islander who has constantly shown interest in the well-being of his community, has been on the forefront of the search effort even before any such endeavor was announced. This morning at 9:30 a.m. the group will meet at the Canegata Ballpark parking lot, where they met yesterday.

If you are interested in joining the effort, contact Mr. Stridiron by leaving him a message through Facebook. To join a V.I.P.D. search group and for more details on the force’s efforts, call 340-642-9310.
