Below, find the latest official update from the United States Postal Service for the U.S. Virgin Islands following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
St. Thomas
Additional quantities of packages and mail continue to be transported to St Thomas.
- The Charlotte Amalie Post Office will provide mail and package pickup for customers whose addresses include the ZIP codes 00801, 00802, and 00803
- Havensight Station has been providing mail for post office box addresses with ZIP Code 00802.
- Customers are now directed to Havensight also for mail handout for customers in the ZIP Code 00804, served by the Emancipation Gardens office.
East End /Tutu Mall continues handout for addresses in ZIP Code 00805
Havensight will be first to resume retail service – stamps, packages, money orders – on Wednesday. The Postal Service will continue to test equipment and connectivity to expand retail at all locations as quickly as possible.
St. John
The Cruz Bay Post Office will continue handout of mail service from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be no retail service (stamps, money orders, shipping) available.
St. Croix
There is no service yet, but through the cooperation of many, the Postal Service will be able to place Postal Inspectors on Wednesday to provide urgent assessments of its St. Croix facilities and make contact with its employees. “We are cautiously optimistic that we could see service in at least one location by Thursday,” the Postal Service said.
