Service Interruption Scheduled For St. Croix On Wednesday; Customers In Estate Castle Burke Will Be Affected

Community Center / May 2, 2018

On Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., electrical service will be interrupted to approximately 84 customers in Estate Castle Burke, on St. Croix’s Feeder 9A, WAPA has  announced.

The service interruption will allow WAPA’s contractor Haugland Energy to update the Authority’s conductors, wiring and transformers in the Castle Burke community, in an effort to upgrade the system and reduce the number of customers affected by future service interruptions in the area.

Motorists traversing the areas where work is being performed are asked to proceed with caution, for the safety of crews and other drivers.

The authority apologized for any inconvenience caused by this service interruption and assures customers that every effort will be made to restore electrical service as quickly as possible.
