ST. CROIX — Police rearrested a man who was already jailed to charge him with first-degree robbery in connection with an incident that occurred on May 26, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has announced.

The robbery took place at Sam’s Service Station in Estate Glynn on the aforementioned date, according to Mr. Dratte. He said the 911 emergency call center was notified of the incident at about 5:15 p.m., and officers at the Wilbur Francis Command immediately responded.

Upon the officers’ arrival, contact was made with the victim, who stated that he was robbed at gunpoint by an assailant.
