WAPA Schedules Tuesday Service Interruptions For St. Thomas And St. Croix

On Tuesday some customers on St. Croix and St. Thomas will experience electrical service interruption while the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority continues to make upgrades to the transmission and distribution system, WAPA made known via release Monday.

From 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 pm, approximately 142 customers in Est. Montpellier on St. Croix’s Feeder 6A will experience electrical service interruption while crews primary and neutral lines, the authority said.

From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., electrical service will be interrupted to approximately 9 customers in Est. Lerkenlund, on a portion of St. Thomas’ Feeder 7A, during continued system upgrades.

Motorists traversing the areas where work is being performed are asked to proceed with caution, for the safety of crews and other drivers.

WAPA apologized for any inconvenience caused by these service interruptions and assures customers that every effort will be made to restore electrical service as quickly as possible.
