ST. CROIX — Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority employees took to the streets here today in protest of what they say have been stagnant wages and little appetite from the utility’s upper echelon, including CEO Lawrence Kupfer, to work on increasing salaries. The employees said this afternoon that their pay has not moved in 6-7 years.
The job action follows a number of similar protests from teachers that took place on St. Croix last week. Watch the video below.
