Supervisor of Elections Caroline Fawkes on Thursday announced that early voting for the runoff election between Governor Kenneth Mapp and candidate for governor Albert Bryan, will take place on November 17 and 18, at the respective Election System offices in the two districts.
On St. Thomas and St. Croix, early voting will run from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on St. John.
Nearly 12,000 Virgin Islanders voted early in this year’s general election, so the announcement of early voting will please residents who want to avoid the election day rush. According to information provided by the Election System on Thursday, 25,980 Virgin Islanders voted in this year’s general election.
To vote early on St. Croix, head to the Election System office in the Sunny Isle Annex across from the WAPA building. On St. Thomas, early voting takes place at the Election System office in Lockhart Gardens upstairs Banco Popular. On St. John, early voting takes place at the Election System Offices located at the Market Place Suite II.
