Governor Bryan To Join Bill Clinton In Puerto Rico For Meeting At Clinton Global Initiative Action Network Event

Virgin Islands / January 29, 2019

USVI Governor Albert Bryan will join former President Bill Clinton and Clinton Foundation Vice-Chair Chelsea Clinton for the third meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Action Network on Post-Disaster Recovery in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Wednesday, Government House has announced.

The action network brings together leaders in government, business, and civil society to develop strategies and solutions to address hurricane recovery needs facing the region, while laying the foundation for a more resilient future, the release said.

“I am looking forward to joining former President Clinton, the Caribbean leaders in attendance and Clinton Foundation partners and to participate in what I believe is an important discussion about the future of the Caribbean Economy and the role of our Virgin Islands in that economy. We have an opportunity to use this recovery and rebuilding effort as a vehicle to set the course for the Virgin Islands as a key economic driver in the region,” Mr. Bryan said.

According to Government House, the governor is scheduled to join Mr. Clinton on Wednesday for the closing plenary session on “Fortifying The Future of the Caribbean Economy.”
